Building and Construction Matters
PROPERTY LAW
Sub-divisions and Consolidations of Land
We are experienced in working with surveyors to manage
and finalize the subdivision or the consolidation of land.
Consumer
Prior to entering into a Building Contract, it is always best to secure legal advice. We are experienced in providing detailed advice in relation to contracts and can do so in a quick turnaround so as not to delay the process on your end.
Once properties are built, there can be issues in relation to the standard and quality of the work performed. We can work with you in reviewing the contract documentation and legislation to assess any claims you can raise against the Builder for any building defects etc. There can be instances where there might be a delay in the work the builder is completing for you. We can review the contracts and advise on the next steps as well engage in discussions with the Builder to ensure the terms of the contract are complied with and the work completed without delay.
Builder
There can be instances, unforeseen at times, that lead you to breach a contract. We can attend to negotiations on your part in seeking extensions on your behalf. We can also assist with defending any claims that may be raised against you.
We are experienced in lodging applications to the Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV) and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Please feel free to contact us with any queries.

In the event there is a breach of the agreement, we can liaise with the tenants or their representatives to ensure that the terms of the lease agreement are adhered to or we can negotiate to resolve the matter.
Tenants
We can assist with providing advice on lease agreements and any obligations the landlord may have to you. If you are faced with living in an inhabitable or defect ridden property, we can engage with the landlord or their representatives to request rectification of any concerns you may have.
